Space

2020

Exponential and converging technologies are driving down costs and making space more accessible. It is no longer a playground reserved solely for governments. If you are a founder of tomorrow, now is the time to build initiatives that leverage space and space technology.

In June 2020, 60 change makers joined us for the first-ever fully virtual FoT bootcamp. Together, we built solutions for impact on Earth based on data from space, investigated terrestrial applications using space technology and explored taking the big leap and innovated for a future in Mars.

In 2020, FoT partnered with the European Space Agency Business Incubator Centre in Denmark. Over 20 of the Founders of Tomorrow participants when on to take part in the ESA BIC DK pre-incubation accelerator program LAUNCHPAD in August 2020.

Winning group: Sagikage with their idea ‘MinSkov’

With a solution allowing anyone with deforested land to take part in reforesting the earth. By leveraging satellite data, Minskov creates a benchline of the deforested area and monitors new tree growth and type. Sellers can sign up to use the MinSkov service, verify their identity, and receive payment for new trees based on their carbon uptake.
